- Don't fall into the trap of thinking just because you run Linux does not mean that it is invulnerable to attack. Like Windows, exploits for Linux and related software are discovered. However, Linux and Open Source software is almost always patched sooner than the Windows equivalents and the vulnerabilities are publically disclosed at places such as BugTraq.
- Always keep your systems up-to-date.
