Is the goal of sharing the entire .gnupg directory so that the same gpg settings are used in both automatically? If the config files can be different, you might want to look into just sharing the keyrings by setting the location of the default keyrings in ~/.gnupg/gpg.conf to point to the shared location then some of the locking problems might go away. ~sadam
