Never used Gentoo. Trying to switch a Gentoo with a static IP to use DHCP by default. The only documentation that exists excludes how to do this. WTF 

A blank /etc/conf.d/net will cause the system to default to DHCP. It's stated in the comments for the file. Forceflow2 15:09, 30 March 2009 (EDT)
